Harry Potteris so spell-bindingly popular that it's probably harder to find someone who hasn'tread and/or watched it these days than someone who has. The hype shows no sign of slowing down, either. A few years ago we had the release of the Cursed Childplay, and we're currently one film in to J.K. Rowling's whopping five-part Fantastic Beastsfranchise. The question is, what does the future beyond all that hold? Well, on Tuesday, Reddit user wunderfizz posited the following theory in the r/Showerthoughts sub: Let's be honest, it's inevitable, isn't it? When you've got something with as big an audience as Harry Potter, there's absolutely zero chance that the Hollywood studios will ever let it go. Still, we may be a way off reboot territory just yet. Timescales aside, though, it didn't take long before the casting had been decided. Others, meanwhile, had slightly different ideas for a remake. To be fair, a series wouldleave quite a bit more scope for character development. They might be able to include more of the stuff that had to be cut from the movies in order to streamline the whole thing, too. Anyway, at this point it's all still a long way in the distance. One way or another, it's surely going to happen eventually. TopicsHarry PotterReddit
