LONDON -- If there's one thing that whole Boaty McBoatface saga taught us, it's that the public can never, ever be trusted. Some people clearly haven't learned, though. Yep. On Wednesday night, Oldham Council tweeted a picture of their brand new, bright yellow gritter. They wanted the public to help them come up with a name for it. And oh boy, did the public deliver. And those are only some of the suggestions. Unfortunately the competition rules state that only "children who live in Oldham or attend Oldham Primary School" can enter, so most of the entries above -- as glorious as they are -- sadly won't count.
