If you ask the internet for help, sometimes -- just sometimes -- it will deliver in a big way. It just might not be quite the way you were expecting. On Wednesday, a man called Rory went for a birthday drink with his friend Nick in Sheffield, UK. He posted the following, fairly innocent request on Twitter: See, because they were at a Wetherspoons pub, anyone with the Wetherspoons app could order a drink remotely on their behalf. Perhaps they were hoping a few friends who couldn't be there in person would send over a pint. Maybe, if they were lucky, a stranger or two would chip in. That wasn't quite what happened, though. Yep: very quickly, things began to go wrong. The whole situation escalated pretty quickly. At one point there was a brief reprieve. Then, abruputly, things got ridiculous again. An hour and a half later, Rory and Nick attempted to make their escape. But the internet wasn't having any of it. The lesson?
