Face it: 395 (and counting) episodes of solid crime television isn't enough. We need more Law & Order: SVU. Luckily, developer Scott Luptowski has a solution with episode descriptions generated by a computer program. Sure, SVU can seem slightlyrobotic already, but to be fair there are only so many variations of "I want a lawyer" that you can write before you're just saying nonsense. After building a script to pull episode descriptions from Hulu, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, Luptowski used a tool called a markov chain to automatically predict text based on the existing episode summaries. Luptowski told Mashablein a DM that he then ran the episodes through the chain hundreds of times to find the funniest results. As you can see, the computer-generated episodes deserve, at the very least, a dozen Emmys.
