Per adorable tradition, French President Emmanuel Macron has adopted a new pup, who will now hold the esteemed title as "First Dog." 。 According to。 BBC。, Nemo is a labrador-griffon mix and almost two-years-old. He comes from the SPA animal refuge in Hermeray and cost the president around $300. 。 Nemo is reportedly named after Captain Nemo, the commander of the fictional submarine Nautilus in。 Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, as Macron is a big fan of the book. A fitting name for a dog with such an important position.
