Sure, watching a basketball game is fun, but it's common knowledge that all the really
。 exciting。stuff happens at the end.。 It appears the NBA knows this too, and is on the verge of making it a whole lot easier to catch the fourth quarter of your favorite game. Oh, and significantly cheaper as well. 。 This welcomed news was brought to us, as so many things are these days, via an app push notification that was screengrabbed and tweeted out. 。 "Playoff positioning is on the line," read the notification. "Watch the 4th quarter of Heat-Thunder live for just 99 cents on League Pass."。 This is a far cry from the $28.99 a month a fan would have to shell out for League Pass, a package that lets you watch any and all NBA games live. Importantly, it's also only offering access to the fourth quarter, but that could be enough to convince a couch-bound NBA fan to tune into the last minutes of a tight game.。 Thanks for signing up!。 And hey, 99 cents isn't that bad!。 Now, definitely keep in mind that the NBA hasn't officially announced anything yet about making this a widespread offering. In other words, this very well could be a small test that never goes anywhere.。 But we shouldn't be surprised if it does. That's because, as SportTechie reported last year, the idea has a big fan in NBA commissioner Adam Silver.
。 “I think you’re going to get to the point where somebody wants to watch the last five minutes of the game, and they go click, they’ll pay a set price for five minutes as opposed to what they would pay for two hours of the game,” the site reports Silver as explaining.

It seems the NBA has finally come around to Silver's thinking, and tacitly admitted what we knew to be true all along: You only care about the fourth quarter.
