When brands participate in memes, it is generally -- and I can't stress this enough -- the worst thing in the world. That is why it brings me no pleasure to admit that Chips Ahoy did a good brand tweet on Wednesday. Earlier this week, the internet was set aflame by "St. Louis-style bagels," which are bagels cut into disturbing, bread-like slices. Traumatized and looking to heal, people quickly started to meme "St. Louis-style" food as a concept, from boiled pizza to literally toast with toothpaste on it. Chips Ahoy stepped into the fray with a nice bowl of XL cookie cereal. "Today we're eating our cookies St. Louis style!" the tweet says. I consider myself an honest person, so I must admit that when I saw this, I laughed. I am not saying that brand tweets are good -- again, they are mostly bad -- but sometimes you just gotta call 'em like you see 'em. This tweet is funny, and I would eat a tray full of cookies submerged in milk. Thanks. TopicsSocial MediaTwitterMemesTweet may have been deleted
