Weddings and technology aren't always a match made in heaven. Some couples prefer to opt for tech-free weddings, while others impose rules about social media usage on the big day. 。 But, one couple has decided to not just embrace technology at their wedding, they've planned their entire theme around it.
。 When Jessica Naziri and Michael Sabet tied the knot, they wove a tech thread into their entire wedding, from the bridesmaid's bouquets right down to the wedding favours.。 Naziri -- who works as a tech blogger at TechSesh.co -- says she wanted to created a synthesis of old-fashioned wedding customs along with aspects of modern life in 2017. "I always wanted to plug into new technologies and make my wedding a modern-day experience, yet with age-old traditions," she says.。 Naziri says that in her line of work, technology plays such a big part in her life that she "wanted to bring it down the aisle" with her.。 "As I made choices like creating a custom app for my wedding, supplying charging stations at the reception, and wearing a 3D-printed headpiece, the tech theme came together organically," says Naziri. She says that as the world introduces more and more gadgets and tech into our everyday lives, weddings are beginning to do the same. She wanted to be a part of that.
。 The couple had created an app and website for their wedding using Joy so their guests could share photos and chat to one another. But, the techiness didn't end there.。 Thanks for signing up!

。 Naziri and Sabet enlisted a photographer who used drones to get some extra-special 360 footage of the wedding that Naziri says "only drones could provide." 。 When it came to the guests, the happy couple wanted to make things as easy as possible for their friends to take photos during the day. "We encouraged everyone to keep taking photos and even provided charging stations, so you can say we definitely did not impose social media restrictions," says Naziri. According to Naziri, special charging stations are a "must-have" at weddings, so no one stresses about saving their phone battery when taking pics and posting on social media.。 Credit: Alexis Galmin。 Credit: Alexis Galmin。
Perhaps Naziri and Sabet are onto something. Given that technology plays such a significant role in our daily lives, it makes sense to incorporate it into our wedding. Nevertheless, this techie wedding definitely takes tech-friendly nuptials to a whole other level.。
