Verizon will stop replacing Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices for its customers in the U.S., it announced late on Sunday. 。

The company joins two other phone providers in the country, T-Mobile and AT&T, all of whom announced the disappointing news to Note7 fans on the same day.  。

Just last week, a Southwest Airlines flight had to be evacuated after a Samsung phone started smoking in the cabin. Other aviation authorities globally have also issued warnings about the Note7 onboard, fearing a fire hazard. 。

The Sunday announcements from these carriers may also confirm a new report from Korea's 。

Yonhap News Agency 。 that says Samsung has temporarily halted production of the Note7. 。 The decision, if true, will mean Samsung could be taking the hot favourite smartphone off the market for now, just a month after launch.。
