Earth Day 2024 (April 22) is particularly a big one because it falls in the middle of a major election cycle. There's one considerable free thing you can do: research the climate-related stances of candidates on your ballot and vote accordingly.

When it comes to voting with your dollars, switching to chewable toothpaste from a jar over disposable plastic tubes or to laundry detergent sheets over disposable plastic jugs are quick, easy, sustainable swaps that are often cheaper around Earth Day.
