Motorola's all metal smartphone, the Moto M, is finally making its way out of China.

The Lenovo-owned company today launched the shiny, all-metal Moto M in India at a price of Rs 15,999 ($240) for the 32GB variant. The Moto M also comes in a 64GB version, which is priced at Rs 17,999 ($265). The smartphones will go on sale in the country on Dec. 14 at 11:59 p.m. exclusively on Flipkart.

The Moto M features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) 2.5D IPS display, and 3,050mAh battery with support for fast-charging. It also sports a fingerprint scanner on the back and Dolby ATMOS speakers.

Other features of the Moto M aren't a slouch either. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 processor, which comes coupled with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The Moto M was first launched in China early this year at a price point of CNY 1,999 ($290).

On the photography front, the Moto M carries a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection auto focus capability. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera.

The Moto M features a hybrid dual-SIM card slot, which gives users the option of either having two SIM cards in the phone, or one SIM card and a microSD card. The phone has 32GB of in-built storage.

On the connectivity from, the phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE (which will come in handy if the user plans on using Reliance Jio). The Moto M also features a USB Type-C port, support for NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Like most Motorola phones, even the Moto M comes with nano coating, which protects the phone from accidental water splashes or an outing in the drizzle, a rare feature at its price segment. At Rs 15,999 ($240), Motorola's Moto M will compete with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 3 and Samsung's Galaxy On8.
